Five Interesting, Funny, and Touching Things that Happened in Sports This Week

  1. This week’s Chiefs-Eagles MNF game drew incomparable numbers, and MNF is having a monster year overall.

  1. The Detroit Red Wings win Thanksgiving

  1. US sports betting continues to skyrocket. The $80 billion that has been bet in Q1-Q3 of this year is up 23% compared to last year.

  1. Erin Matson just led UNC to its 5th straight field hockey title. She got 4 as a player, and this one comes in her first year as UNC’s coach — at the age of 23 🤯

  1. Due to the existing rivalry, the CFP implications, and the emotion on both sides around the Michigan sign-stealing story, tickets for “The Game” this weekend are reaching unprecedented highs. (P.S. Go Blue — Beat Ohio)

  1. BONUS: The Las Vegas Grand Prix started off slowly but ended up delivering a strong result both on and off the track. Check out the behind the scenes on how they created a memorable drone show during the opening.

  1. DOUBLE BONUS (it is feast week after all!): This kid is a legend, and the NFL needs to let him do something at the Combine for the content. Also, here’s the Bible verse he quotes if you want some extra fun

Until next time, sports fans!
